Attached SMDR5 to DN port and then to 7310, serial port to COM 1, Software on PC loaded, shows collection started and processing started but no call records. Is any programming required for this DN to handle SMDR? Thanks.

To access programming on the SMDR unit dial Feature 9*2 from any 7310 or 7324 phone on the system. Then scroll through the parameters and change to your requirements. Brian Cox

Thanks Brian, I will be on site next week and try this procedure. Any certain baud rate or parameters work best for the SMDR5? Thanks in advance.

Most SMDR outputs are 1200 baud, 8 data, 1 stop, no parity. I think this is where the SMDR unit is set by default. You will want to check the call format and types of calls that will be output. Brian Cox
