Two of our 2000IVS’s run CCIS through split (Data/Voice) T1’s that are attached to a local 2000IVS. Because of the cost per distance we had to split these T1’s and are using only the first 8 channels of the T1 for voice. NECBNS set these two sites up a couple years ago and now I’m trying to find out why SMDR has never worked.

All our other sites use the full T1 for voice and I’ve been able to get SMDR working fine. I can’t seem to get these two using the split T1’s to send their SMDR even though it looks like NECBNS has them setup correctly.

Are there any commands I should check based on these two sites only using the first 8 channels of the T1. My instincts tell me that maybe a setting or two simply got overlooked because of the T1 difference. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

To my understanding, SMDR wouldn't care if they're fractional T's or not.... it goes by ROUTES, not by individual trunks.

If SMDR is working on other routes in the switch, then ASYD should be configured properly. I would verify the routes for the fractional T's, then check ASYD System 2, Index 3 Bit 0 for the Tenant, make sure it is a 1....

Then I would look in ARTD for the route, and check CDN 10 and CDN 16 (They both need to be 1), then ASFC, SFI-14 should be a 1.

The physical trunks shouldn't really have anything to do with it.

Let me know if this helps, and darn it, don't forget the star if it does! <Laugh>

Are you doing Centralized billing? If so check A703,04,07 for correct data. If not, it Should be in trunk route data CM 3514.

OMG, I totally mis-read the question, and answered for a 2400... I am SO sorry.
