SMDR Stopped Working

The SMDR port seems to have stopped working in my Avaya Partner System R7. I have tried connecting via Hyperterminal on 2 different PC's. I suppose it could be the 355AF or the system. Any suggestions on how to investigate further? I have searched the Forum and couldn't find anything.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm kind of stumpped at this point.

The cable between the processor and the computer could have gone bad. Try making up a new one. Also, inspect the adapter for broken wires.

If everything checks out, backup the programming (processor & voicemail [if applicable]), and power-cycle the system.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Do you have a way of checking your 355AF on something else? I haven't experienced problems with mine, but there are a lot of threads where people have had issues.

I finally got it fixed. It was my Keyspan USB to Serial device.
