I'm using Hyperterminal successfully to dump the SMDR report. It is working great I just don't know what some of the symbols mean.

On the left the "I" and the "C"? Incoming and outgoing maybe? After the number the "*"? What does that mean? I know what the question mark means...but the "*" has got me. I think it may mean the caller hung up without leaving a message or speaking to anyone?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've come to the conclusion that the "I" indicates an incoming call. The "C" indicates an outgoing call.

I've seen a stand-alone "*" when a person goes to check for voicemail messages, lifts the receiver (or activates the hands-free speaker), and locks up an outside line when the system is programmed to grab an outside line by default.
