I have a 192 and am getting a SMDR package. Need to hook it all up.

The 192 has a MIMF (in S1 slot) and I have a 192 Features and Specs Manual but after that I am a bit lost about how to make the whole thing work.

1. I need a cable to run from the PC that will be getting the SMDR feed to the 192. Where does it go on the 192? And what kind of cable is it? What is the spec for the line 9600-8-N-1 or something else? (The cabinet is the ones with DB25 not DB9s.)

2. The book talks about programming a number of items and some don't make any sense to me
SMDR Print Format - default fine
Printer Connected Selection - ?
Printer Line Feed Control Selection - default fine
SMDR Valid Call Time Assignment - default fine
SMDR Incoming/Outgoing Print Selection - change to ALL
SMDR Telephone Print Selection - default fine
Card Interface Slot Assignment - ?
MIF (LCR) Assignment - ? What is LCR?
MIF (SMDR) Assignment - ?

3. Is the dial in support configuration capability changed/turned off if SMDR is enabled?

Can someone also give a three sentence overview of the programming process after putting the 192 into programming mode
- going to a memory block
- changing a memory block
- saving changes
- getting out of programming mode

Thanks, I used to program a big fat ROLM ten years ago but programming through the attendant console is a bit confusing.

7-01 ETU Assignment Look at MIF card number "01"
7-03 Make smdr=01

DB25 #2 I believe 96008N1

Printer Connected selection needs to be enabled - if nothing is hooked up or if null is wrong, alarm on first two ports.

Transfer to write

LCR = Least Cost Routing (don't worry bout this one)
