Well, occasionally you find something that Avaya has done that is actually quite useful. Tucked away in the IP Office Security document, a little nugget on how to log barred calls in SMDR.
SMDR normally only includes calls that have been connected. So calls that go directly from the incoming call route to a barred shortcode don't create an SMDR record. However, if you add the word SMDR in the barred short code's Telephone Number field, it will cause an SMDR record for the call with Barred as the Party 2 info. Nice.
Now, if you all knew that already ignore me, but I though it a nice useful little thing to share.
