Hie to you all.
1.Using Ip buffer on 3300 Mxe rel MCD 4.1.SMDR was working fine & correctly configured. The call logging just stopped.
Maintenance command: logsys read smdr newest 10,gives a system response :-

LOGSYS error: FILE buffer could not be read for SMDR log.
File System error: Internal File System error.

How do I resolve this error to be able to resume call logging?A system reboot has failed twice.

2.Also the telephone directory wentwrong at the same time.If you try to add a user to the directory it says: No Matching Record Was Found. What could be wrong with th directory?Reboot has also failed to correct it.

Turn off realtime logging in SMDR form and make sure that you have option enabled for different type of call (internal/external etc.)

Thanks for your input Supernova99, my Realtime logging is off & the rest of the settings such as SMDR external is ON.Still having the same problem.More ideas welcome.

I did have a similar problem a while back and I managed to get it working by connecting a serial cable to the printer port and using a terminal console (hyper terminal procomm plus)
Go to the application port assignment and make sure that LPR1 is programmed against SMDR Logs
Then enter the following command from the command prompt on the 3300 maintenance screen (turn off auto complete)
'logs print smdr a /p LPR1' (no quotes)
You should see the logs printed to the console
and if so your SMDR logs should also start streaming
Test this by telnetting to the IP address of controller followed by port 1752 'telnet 192.168.1.2 1752' (no quotes)
you should now see logs streaming

Good Luck!
