SMDR is it easy to set up and use?

This customer has asked me about SMDR. Looks like I have to use on of the old dot matrix printers? Is there any way to transfer the data to a P.C. program for stats?

Has anyone installed or use Partner SMDR?

PC with serial port running Hyperterminal, capturing the output to a text file. Import into Excel to view?

Metropolis call accounting works well if you are looking for a commercial program with actual reports.

This is a non profit agency that has to account for its incoming and outgoing calls for funding. Does SMDR provide incoming stats? Also does every Partner system provide SMDR automatically or is this a program that needs to be added?

It's a serial port, and dumps call data real time, as the calls are completed. Inbound and Outbound.

It's a bit much to cut and paste, so take a look at the manual, starting on 9-35
