What hardware do I need to use SMDR in a CICS 6.1 switch?

you need an smdr6 and a software to capture and process the data into reports

alternately you may use a CTA100 as well with a compatible software

Depends on what you want to capture and what kind of reports you want. Personally I like the Cintech product called TeleSeries. You use an SMDR or CTA100 like they said above to get the info to a PC's serial port. The software runs in the background and is storing all the in and out traffic from your system.

Any SMDR will work on Rls 6.1
New or used.
Then, as above, what you need for your data purposes. SMDR 5 and up will do CLID.
