Hi, anyone know if the IP office supports direct polling of its SMDR port (50796) yet?

I'd prefer not to have to broker the data from Delta Server / SMDR application, but rather take the data straight from the IPO.

Thanks in advance,

You need to look at using the DEVLINK .dll's interface on the IP Office User CD, and get a copy of the SDK which includes the programming for this interface.

Call accounting packages have build this into there software to bypass having to pickup the .csv produced by SMDR or Deltaserver.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the response, MrIPO.

I did know about the DevLink DLL, but heard a rumour that the requirement to connect to the IPO using this had now been removed, such that you could now open a socket to port 50796 and get a live feed of SMDR. This, after all, is how other IP-type PBXs work... some needing a password, some not.

Do you know whether this is true or not?

Meanwhile, where can I get the SDK to use DevLink in, say, VB?

TIA..... -t

does anybody have any samples of using devlink with vb.net?

Use the Deltaserver from the CCC 5 package ( just gone GA ), this supports sending SMDR to a IP address, you can even specify a port.
Above that, the Deltaserver is a service and van be configured through a webbrowser.
