Dear Solaris expert

I had added more hard disk (SCSI)into my server running Solaris 9. when i start "SMC" tool i unable to locate the new hard disk. But when i run "format" command it show the new installed disk status. Below is the step i ahd perform to initialize the new disk

#drvconfig
#disk
#format

I also perform "boot -r" to try to detect the SCSI devices. But from "SMC" still unable to detect the new disk. Please advise thank you..

Have you tried creating an empty file called reconfigure in the roor directory (ie touch /reconfigure), then bouncing the box? I've known occasions when boot -r didn't pick up new hardware but this procedure did.

Have you tried running devfsadm? that does the drvconfig, disks, devlinks command for you.
