smbmount command not found

i am running freebsd the latest and i installed samba with ports and for some reason smbmount is not found i am trying to mount windows shares i have mounted them before under mandrake with smbmount and there was not problem is there a different way to do it on freebsd or is there a way i could get smbmount to work

AFAIK smbmount does not work natively on freebsd

Have a look at these two files:

/usr/share/examples/etc/nsmb.conf
/usr/share/examples/smbfs/dot.nsmbrc

They should contain the info you need ... and yes, it works a bit differently on FreeBSD ;-)
