I need to load SU011 but am fairly new BCM (and Nortel) and have not loaded updates before. I am trying to decode the readme's associated with SU011.

According to the SU011 readme under "Dependencies" I need to load an update first :- "BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement or later must be applied before this update"

This update is bundled in the SU011 zip file. According to the readme for BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement under "Dependencies" then a previous SU needs to be loaded first : "BCM.R400.SU.System.005 or later version. The dependency patch should be applied first."

On the Nortel patch site I can see SU007 so I have grabbed that.

My question is do I need to load SU007 first then BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement followed finally by the rest of SU011. Or can I simply load BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement followed the rest of SU011

I tell a lie. The SU007 is a desktop update.

So my question now is do I need BCM.R400.SU.System.005 or later version prior to installing BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement ?

If so where can I get it ?

You only need SU.system.11.
160-SoftwareManagement is included inside. (I have never needed apply previous SU.system)

When you try upload the patch, will show a screen with two patches (su.11 & 160-SoftwareManagement). Select 1160-SoftwareManagement, and apply.
Later, upload again Su.11 and apply it.


In readme, says that you must apply BCM.R400.SU.Desktop.005-200801 or later. This is for update the EM to 2.05 version.


I recomend apply first the last SU.desktop (current BCM.R400.SU.DESKTOP.007_BCM_4.0) and later SU.system.11.
