Smartlist - Account Transactions - Posting Date

I expect the answer to this is to change some obscure option in Great Plains but here we go:
When I post a transaction in Payables the transaction begins to show up on the Smartlist Account Transactions. The Posting Status is 'Unposted'. I assume this means that the transaction has not been posted to the General Ledger. When I post the transaction to the General Ledger the Posting Status changes to blank. I was expecting it to change to 'Posted'.
When you try to use Search to narrow the list down there is no option in 'equals' for a blank field. There are only three options, in fact: Unposted, Posted, and Posted with errors. When I try to manipulate the Search I have the following results:

#1 No Search Perameters = 594 records (34 Posting Status = 'Unposted' and the rest Posting Status = blank).
#2 Posting Status - equals - Unposted = 34 records (All register as 'Unposted').
#3 Posting Status - is not equal to - Unposted = 0 records.
#4 Posting Status - equals - Posted = 0 records.
#5 Posting Status - equals - Posted with errors = 0 records.
#6 Posting Status - contains - _____ (blank) = 0 records.
#7 Posting Status - begins with - ______ (blank) = 0 records

It almost seems as though the posting status being blank is not a reflection of the value of the field being zero but maybe a reflection of some bad data somewhere (since it doesn't show up on the inverse of #2 (as seen in #3). Does any one recognize this problem and know the remedy? Thanks.

Since unposted documents populate the GL10000 they will show a posting status because that field exists in that table, but once they are posted they populate the GL20000 table, which does not have the posting status field.

weird... on mine (v7.5g16 dex 7.5m011)

payables transactions on smartlist doesn't have a posting status field available. There is one called Posted that has a dropdown of yes or no.

account transactions on smartlist does have a posting status field available. It has a 3 option dropdown of unposted/posted/posted with errors.

may be upgrade time..........
