I installed new batteries in my Smart-UPS 900. I turn on the power switch on the back panel. I then switch this UPS on using the "TEST" button (with vertical line) on the front panel. Everything is fine at this point.
Now: when I switch off the UPS using the lower "O" button on on the UPS, the UPS starts beeping and indicates that I have dead batteries. If I let the UPS sit for a day with the battery disconnected, the UPS will reset and I can connect the battery and then turn it on without the getting the faults that I mentioned earlier.
Is this a known problem? Are there other know issues with this model UPS? Should I just use the rear panel power switch to switch OFF the UPS?
