layer 2
Permanent activity ENABLED
Endpoint NET

layer three

B ch range 0 to 31
max calls 31
binding E1

Any help would be bloody helplfull!!!!

Are yu certain the GSM is configured for E1 or is it actually E1/PRI?

Best of luck.

Hmmm,
But in the case of E1 aren't therer a bunch of signaling options that has to be configured. For example Channel Associated vs Common CHannel signlaing.

My only limited experience with E1 signalling was with "R2" signlaling but there has to be other options. Presumably this needs to be set on both ends.

If this were ISDN then the limited number of optiosn for the GSM would more-or less make sense. If it is E1 it would seem that there would have to be more parameters. Maybe there are more fixed parameters that are listed in the dosucmentation.

Unfortunately the difference between T1 and T1/PRI (or E1 and E1/PRI) is frequently blurred when people disucss them, but obviously you have to know this to make the units talk.

OK, I double checked and PSS1 is ISDN (QSIG). If the GSM is using E1 signalling you'll need to find out what type and change the Smart node to match.

If the GSM is ISDN then my guess is that it is ETSI Q.931 with no option to change it.

What are the options on the Smart node for Layer 3/Signaling protocol?

Good luck.
