Smart Heap error 1

A friend has PGA200, a golf sim, installed on XP pro. He had trouble getting it to run properly so he tried compatability mode and receive a smart heap~ mem-bad-pointer error. Anyone know what might cause this?

If a program is unable to run on XP for any reason it is not always possible to run it in any of the Compatibility Modes either.

Check for Updates and Patches for this game.

Thanks. I'll pass on the info. The sim worked fine until he upgraded to XP Pro from Win98 (clean install on new machine).
