Here is my setup:
Athlon XP 2100+
512 meg PC2100 RAM
40 and 80 Gig Hard drives

I've been running Need for Speed Underground with an ATI 64 meg Radeon 7000. It's been working pretty good so far. I just upgraded to an ATI 128 meg 9200. Now, when I go to run the game everything looks great until I get to the screen where I'm actually playing the game. The problem is that the display shifts to the left about an inch so that the left side is cut off and I see a black bar on the right side. I have all the latest ATI drivers. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be? My screen resolution is 1024-768 and all the other settings are set to default.

Have you run Dxdiag to see if there are any issues there, Beta files etc.?

You could try the drivers from they may give you some tweaking options(or cure it).

Can you adjust the geometry directly, on the monitor itself?

Andy.

check your monitor settings when in the game.
what does he report as refresh rate?
how is colour depth set in the game?

adjust the screen that it fits again, next time it should be fine then.
what os are you using?

I am using WinXP pro. How do I check the monitor settings while in the game? When I start the game it automatically goes to full screen.

There is usually a switch to force refresh rate within the game options, more details and the recommended screen settings should be available on the disc or the manufacturers site.

Andy.

Hey everyone. While I appreciate all the tips I think I figured out what the problem is. After having the new video card in my pc for about 3 hours the screen suddenly went blank and my computer restarted with a blank screen. When I put the old video card back in everything works fine. So it looks like I'll be returning to card to the store.
