I have a small network setup up at my home that is running windows xp corporate and windows 2000 advanced server. This is a simple workgroup network, not a domain based network. Everything has been working fine for about 6 months, I mean not a single problem. Then I had to go out of town, so I took my laptop, Windows XP, and shut down the windows 2000 machine. When I get back, everything is fine with the network except the two computers can not see each other. I can ping the computers and even get on the internet, but cannot see the other computer. I have changed no settings what so ever.
I have a single adsl modem hooked up to a D-Link DI-704 router. The router is configured as a dhcp server and that is about it.
I have no idea why it did this all of a sudden but I need so kind of advice. Thanks ahead of time.
