Yesterday, I had a Network Interface installed by Ameritech. Since the inside wires wouldn't reach outside, and there were quite a few of them (Alarm, etc), he ran a short piece of 6-pair cable outside and connected it inside to a 6-pair 66 block. Is there a standard cover available for this block? It is in the garage and I dont want dust and dirt to get in the connections. If there isnt a standard cover, what could I use instead?

Thanks,

Siemon makes two different types of covers for 66 blocks, hinged and snap-on.

Hinged:

Snap-on:

When looking at the catalog, note that you'll need a cover that goes on Siemon's 66 block model B6x6 (6 pair by 6).

You can purchase Siemon's stuff through any of the major telecomm distributors, such as Anxiter, Graybar, Sprint North Supply, etc...

Some other manufacturers of 66 block covers are Leviton, Marconi, Ortronics, and maybe Tyco/AMP.

Hope this helps. Good luck :)

thanks-

I just went to the website and found what I need. Since my dad works for a telecom company, I should be able to get it from them (through a distributor) Also, since i dont think the block is Siemon, will the cover still work?
