I have an Exchange 2003(Standard) server with a 38 GB D: drive that contains the exchsrvr folder. The total reported size of this exchsrvr folder is 4.10 GB. There is nothing else installed on that drive besides exchange but my total reported free space is only 17.0GB. What is taking up 21.0 GB when it should only take 4.10?
I user Veritas Backup Exec for backup that flushes commited logs every night and I verified that my mtbdata folder is not clogged with log files. Also it should be noted that the total MB of my Veritas backup job has not really changed that much. You would think if I had hidden files that the backup exec job would try to back them up and I would be able to account for the extra space.
I seriously cannot account for the used space. I'm stumped.
Has anyone else seen this before?
