Slowing down a Movie Clip on Mouse over

I am trying to slow down my movie clip, using a mouse over. My movie is actually a bunch of rolling thumbnails, to be used as a navigation bar, so each thumbnail is its own movie clip, I want the rolling to slow down when a user mouses over any portion of the Nav bar, I know i need to use a button with only a "hit" state, but I am stuck as to what code I need to make the rolling slow down. Any help would be appreciated.

Well if i understand corectlly what you can do is in the movie which you want to slow down, on event change the frame per second rate you can do it maniually or throught the code.
