Slower Printing in CS2?

I've just made the switch from CS1 to 2 and it seems to take much longer to send a document to the printer. Over 5 min. for 6 pages, whereas in CS1 it usually took less than a minute. My co-workers with the same hardware aren't having this problem. During the printing time, I get a box saying "Flattening page - Downloading resource" I have never seen this before. I'm using a PC. Anyone have a similar problem or any suggestions?

Thanks,
J

Have you set ID to ignore printer fonts? Perhaps this is the hold-up? You need to check the box to download PPD fonts under the Graphics tab of the print menu. Otherwise, if your co-workers are not having problems, I suggest you check every setting under every tab in the Print dialog box and make sure yours are the same.

Thanks for the advice Eggles. It turns out my co-workers are having the same problem and we all have the same print settings. Changing settings did not improve the performance and the "downloading resources" messasge still appears.

So far everything in CS2 has been slow compared to CS1 from opening a book to changing tools so the extra printing time was not very noticeable to some. Our IT dep. just installed a new server and they think it is to blame so the problem may be out of my realm.
