Hi all,
Our application uses DCOM and send a small form object when the user logs in for the first time. This is then used to communicate between the server and the client.
We have over 400 clients that have extremly good connections and sending the form object is pratically instantaneous, but form some reason, one of our latest client, it takes close to a minute! If I logout and log back in, we re-send the object, and this is extremly fast, but If I close the application, it takes again close to a minute to send this form object.
We have no authentication, and launching, access right and permission rights have all domain admins, domains users, and everyone.
The DCOM connection is immediate, but sending the object is causing me a serious headache! I have tried everything I know, but no luck!
The only think, I have spotted and I have not had a change to try out yet is that all the pc's have two network cards, each with a different IP! Could this be causing the problem? I will ask one of our support engineer to remove it and see if it make a difference, but I wonder?
The company we have installed it on are fairly strick on security, but nothing I haven't seen before! They have roaming profiles as well, and most of the registry is read-only?
Any ideas or suggestions on how to sort this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
PS: Could not find anything on the web?!?
Thanks.
Thierry
