I have a VPN setup with great up and down speeds on both sides. I can ping accross the VPN in less than 20 ms and have problem accessing data on my SQL server. ANY IDEADS??!?!?!?!

Make sure you're using TCPIP to connect to the SQL Server and NOT Named Pipes. Named Pipes is the default and won't connect across a VPN. I have a IPSEC VPN between a PIP and a Firebox II working flawlessly.

I have actually been able to use both named pipes and TCP/IP and each is slow as the other. Any other suggestions?
