I have a client with Operating System: Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Server 2003 for Small Business Server Processor: IBM x Series Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz, Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz Frequency: 2.8 GHz, 2.8 GHz RAM: 1024 MB Attached on the network are 3 XP Pro laptops and two desktops. All are running fairly slow when attaching emails etc via the server. They are a very high users of email with each users receiving many many emails most of which containing word attachments. Over time this is getting slower and slower. The attachments also interact with another program between that and outlook. Is there something you would look at checking to increase speed or would the spec of the Server need upgrading ? Any thoughts would be appreciated. All the user PC's are P4's with 512Mb RAM

Might want to check the usage on your HUB / Switch ... if these transactions are occuring similitaniusly then you will notice a slump in network performance.

Also .. what OS are your clients running .. you state XP but then begin to talk about SP4 ... which is a windows 2k thing.

Cheers,

Rob
