Greetings
Being new to the Linux arena I just have a couple of questions. First, I have Redhat 5.2 running on a PPro 200 system, 80MB ram, but some of the threads take a horribly long time to start and I just want to know if that is natural. Here are the services:
HTTPD
SENDMAIL

I also notice that when going into XWindows it takes forever to actually get there. I'll get a grey screen with an X and 5 or 6 minutes later the actual session will start. Natural or is it something else (be gentle, Unix was a LOOONG time ago.

Thanks ahead for anything you can help me with.
Ok, someone smack me. It's been resolved by adding the host name and IP to the /etc/hosts file.
