We have a Stored Procedure that when ran in the SQL Server Management Studi takes about two seconds to run. But when I place the Stored Procedure in a report to run it takes roughly two to five minutes.
I am a quite perplexed by this problem, any suggestions?
Have you got a lot of formatting in the Report, i.e. highlighting, alternating font colours, formulae, graphics, charts etc..
All these are factors as to how quickly the report will run, even though the data may be being returned quickly, if there is a lot of report rendering too then this will slow down the report.
