Hi,

My computer is a Pentium 4 machine with an Intel D850GB motherboard. I have 128MB of RAM too.
I have a hard disk of 20GB. Recently I installed windowsXP professional to my machine.
I installed Macafee Virus scan 6 too.

Oh no, my machine takes so much of time to start. It takes some more worser than the startup time to shutdown.

When shut downing windowsXP, it shows "SAVING YOUR SETTINGS" and waits and waits for a quite a long time. This gives me and my family members a headache. To tell you the truth, my family members laughed at me, asking who the hell made this O/S?

Most of my friends say windowsXP is a lolly-pop! Its good for pre-school children. Is this true?

Please help me on this! I bought windowsXP by paying so much of money!

Perhaps a little bit more memory would help. 256 or even 512mb is more the norm.

Try disabling any unrequired services that are running in background.
