We changed our internal IP address from 192.168.x.x to 10.x.x.x We changed all of the usual stuff (DNS, NAT, etc.) things that pertained to IP. Suddenly, all emails are sticking around on the "Messages pending submission" queue for extended times. This includes our in-house emails as well as those destined for outbound addresses.
I'm not looking for someone to find the needle in our haystack, but if someone has seen and/or experienced this problem and has some insight, I would much appreciate hearing it.
