Hi,

We have a Domino 5.0.8 server running on a Dell PowerEdge 6450 with 4 Xeon-700Mhtz, 1024MB-RAM system, hardware Raid-5 disk array, windows2000. We've noticed that each time we have to shut the server down completely, it takes between 1 and 3 hours for the windows2000 startup process to get to the server login prompt! Anyone else has this problem? We have several other Dell server of similar spec - but this is the only Domino server so I'm pointing my finger at Lotus...

You could check the size of your log.nsf Does it do a consistency check when it comes back up ? If so how many databases does it check ? What is the size of your admin database ?

I have a dual 200 Mhz IBM server with 512MB RAM which takes about 5 minutes to load so there is no way your machine should take 3 hours.

What other programs are running on the server ?

did you check the logs?

event log on the OS level and statrep.nsf and log.nsf on the domino server. Woonjas
