Hi,
We're currently having a problem with response time between HIS 2004 and CICS. We have defined the HIS side for 40 concurrent sessions, and CICS also has this configured in its config as well. When the problem occurs, VTAM PKT trace data shows activity between the local HIS server and VTAM for eveything else but the CICS sessions. Normal NET messages issued when the prolem occurs only says that the transaction is waiting on VTAM.
I know this is kind of generic, but there's not much by way of HIS 2004 on microsoft knowledge base. About the only thing I found was a load balancing article (which might help) and COMTI performance issues.
Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of load balancing two different servers in order to rule out a load issue. Other than verifying CICS config, I'm at a loss.
Thanks.
