Does anybody have details on the requirements of ACCPAC across the WAN? I have a customer who's recently swapped their Cisco 1760's for Enterasys XSR1850.

On paper the routers should be like for like, but the ACCPAC response time is reported as considerably slower with the Enterasys routers.

Can anybody suggest tweaks to either ACCPAC server or the routers to improve performance? Has anybody addressed this issue before?

Use Terminal Services, Accpac needs a minimum of 100 Mbps bandwidth.

Thanks for the speedy reply guys.

The customer is using Terminal Services on their remote sites. With the Cisco routers they report no issue, but with the Enterasys routers the customer reports that users are having to wait for the characters to appear on the screen, after typing them.

There's no issue on the LAN, where the customer has 1000MB Enterasys switches. The remote sites are connected to Head Office via a 512k line. Maybe a need to focus on Terminal Services requirements?

Then that is not an Accpac issue. What has changed in the environment? From what I see only the router, so start looking at the router.

I second the motion, 500 Kbps should be plenty of bandwidth for a TS connection, Accpac isn't the problem.
