Hi,
I've got a query that has a simple join to an odbc table, accessed over the company network.
If I run the query, I get the results back in 20 - 30 seconds. Acceptable.
If I use the query as a data resource for a simple report that just lists the 6 fields returned, it takes about 10 minutes to bring up the report.

Anyone any idea why ?
Thanks. Regards,
Graham

Hiya,

You say 'simple' report, no calculation in that report at all?
If not, then have you pasted the query content directly into the report 'record source' as opposed to referring to the query - any difference?

If no difference, then the report has something wrong with it. Create a brand new report again (i.e. no cut and paste from the problem report).

In any case - I'd try a compact and repair the database.

Regards,

Darrylle
