Slow recovering of Ghost image to RAID 5 array

Hi there,

I have a Promise SX4000 4 channel IDE RAID 5 configuration. I tried to recover various partition images back to the array. But in stead of 1000MB per minute I only reached the poor level of 40MB per minute.

I read on the symantec website that RAID isn't supported, but I was hoping you guys could give me some tips.

you mention Symantec website, what does that have to do with recovering partitions back to the array?

From your post you're using a Promise controller, Promise has recovery procedures for the SX4000, have you investigated that first? Klon Shugart
