slow reconcile/check links

For some reason we've recently been having the following problems.

Check Links: Purchasing: very slow, took ~4 hours to get to 7%

Reconcile: Inventory: stuck on 0% for 2 hours

This was done on the SQL server, on a weekend, when no one else was logged in and all activity, sessions, etc were cleared. The tables appear to be fine and I am not sure what else to look for.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

try running a remove PO from utilities>purchasing

gp doesn't move PO's to history automatically
