I have a pretty much brand new Dell computer that is running Window XP Home Edition with SP2. I recently bought a brand new HP Photosmart 7660 printer. Everything was working fine. Then one day, I go to print something from my computer and it takes nearly 10 minutes to print a page and the text is unaligned. So I try and recalibrate the printer but even then, it takes at least 10 minutes for it to print the page. It feeds the paper and starts to etch the writing on the paper and then stops for about a minute or so and then does it again continously. Sometimes while in the middle of printing, I recieve an error message saying the the printer connection has been disconnected from the computer when everything remains untouched. So far I've reinstalled the software, unplugged the printer and "deleted my printer" and then restarted so it would find the hardware and install itself. But nothing works. Do you think something is wrong with just my printer or is it both the computer and the printer? Thank you in advance.
