Hi Everyone.
I've created a report using Crystal Reports 8 which was running nicely until I inserted several blob field into it that contain images. The fields appear fine, however the report now takes at least 1 minute to execute. I am calling the report via ASP on an intranet connection. If I remove the blob fields from the report is delivered in a matter of seconds. It is not the size of the data because there is no network activity during the minute, only a small amount at the beginning and at the end. I've looked at the servers performance graph during the execution of the report and it is between 50% and 100% during the execution on a dual process Pentium II 800MHz. The datasource is MySQL.
Any ideas on how I can improve the execution of the report??? Am I doing something fundamentally wrong????
Thanks for any help in advance...
Best Regards
