I have upgraded our Novell Client 4.8 to SP3, and running on W2K SP2. I have been receiving complaints of very slow network response after this, from a Word Document taking 60+ seconds to save, to several mins. browsing Network Places. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I believe there's a TID on this. You may have a client caching problem. Try the following:
Client Advanced settings:
File Caching set to "OFF"
File Commit : set to "ON."
(These settings, combined with CLIENT FILE CACHING set to "OFF" at the server, eliminate prolonged file save and occasional errors seen mostly with Word).
