Slow network access with Win XP

Dear fellow Netware users,
I have recently installed Win XP on my local PC and found that it is much slower in locating the volumes on the server.

Also, I am unable to delete files from the network as they appear to be "open" elesewhere.

Please can you help and suggest why this is happening? Are there setting on the client that I need to change?

What version of the Novell Client are you running? The latest is v4.83 SP1 -----------------------------------------------------

i am using version 4.82.

Try installing v4.83 SP1 because (and apparently) a lot of those sort of problems have been resolved in the new client. Also, if you are using ZENworks, have you got your container profiles set up to disallow tree walking? -----------------------------------------------------
