slow mode

could you help me out. i go into this chat site called, paltalk.com, they upgraded their site from 389 to 420 version. now when i talk in the chat room ,my voice goes into slow mode. it never did this before.what is causing this to my sound card and my voice. this been going on for over two months. i get so sick and tired of going out and coming back in to talk for like 15 minutes and than i go into slow mode,or other wise called ( monster voice). could you give me an awser please
