Hi all,

I have a server in a different subnet from other NT
workstations. The server share I connect to has over 2500
floders in it ( A Document archive) From some machines the
lookup when I browse to this share is instantaneous,
whilst from others I get the "searching torch" for up to
10 seconds.

I can undersatnd that the file display might take a little
time as there are 2500+ folders, but am confused as to why
on some machines it is quicker.

Any ideas

Thanks
.

Is it the position on the network - are some workstations on the same switch and others not? Are some running at 10Mbit and others at 100Mbit?
