Hi everyone,

I have a new built a new DC with AD. I have a client computer running W2K Pro. Everytime this machine boots up in the domain it takes a long time to make a network connection then when a domain user logs on to that machine it takes over 15 minutes to log onto the domain. It logs on fast when the workstation logs on with a local profile but a domain takes forever. Anyone come across this one before?
TIA

You have created domain controller and DNS on it right?
if you have created DNS on it please configure the reverse lookup zone.

And another thing is that if u have created users with manditary profile then check the path u have given for the profile in the user accounts.

Thanks, I have not created any DNS entries yet. Perhaps even WINS might help. But I will take your advice and create some reverse lookup entries.
