This site I just designed seems to be loading very slow. Part of the problem is the applet. I have not deceided if i should keep it or not. Can someone have a look at it and give me any other suggestions why it is so slow.

thanks Beckym

Hi mate,

I just checked out your site and I noticed a few things.

1)You should add HEIGHT and WIDTH to your IMG tags as this will speed up the loading.

2)Adding WIDTH attributes to your TABLE tags will help browsers display your page sooner.

3)The Pathways image you have on the site is quite a large file at 41081 bytes for such a small animation. If possible you should try to reduce this file size.

4)The main picture (Painting.jpg) could probably be reduced in size without comprimising quality. Mabye give this a try.

Other than that, all looks fine and you really should resolve this loading speed issue as the items on that page should not really take as long to load.

Hope this helps

The thing loaded faster than greased lightning for me! Even considering that I have cable modem, it still was faster than most. Whatever the problem was, I think you fixed it. John Hoarty
