i have Symantec Client Security with Groupware running on a Win2003 box. All the clients connect to this server and the server serves as the gateway to the internet. After installing Client Security on this machine, the internet is running really slow. It seems as if the clients are authenticating each time before loading a page or something. Any ideas?

Switch it off and see if it really is the issue?

If it is, switch it back on and try to find the bottle neck, Network, Processing, Memory? Use Performance monitor to see where the spikes are.

good idea. What are other good tools for network monitoring like this?

ok, well I installed Ethereal and played a little with the Performance Monitor. I am just starting on network administration and found that I am a little lost when it comes to making heads or tails of the information they give me.

What would you recommend for a novice to do?
