Hi. I need to insert a great number of records in a table (10 000). I did a Stored procedure, it runs well. This operation was done in 2 minutes, but now, the operation does in hours (I've erased this records. Insert another 10 000 records again) How could I do? I don't understand. Thanks

It sounds like there is something else going on, that is causing a locking problem, have you used enterprise manager to look at the processes while you are doing the insert to see what else is going on.

It is also possible that the table has gotten very fragmented if you have been doing a lot if inserts and deletes.

Try running.

dbcc dbreindex('tablename')
