Hello,
i have wrote a servlet with HTTP-Upload.

On my machines at home it receives 5 MB of filelength in 5 seconds maximum. On another *faster* machines (with the same Tomcat-Configuration at localhost) it can take multiple times of 5 seconds, up to 2 minutes.

These slow machines are hanging on a LAN.

All machines are running Tomcat 4.1.24 on Win2000.

Do you have an idea , hints ? Maybe a network misconfiguration ?

TIA
Regards
McBang

Talk to you Systems guys... are you going through a proxy, firewall, or differing IP's (ie 192.168.1.1 to 192.200.1.1) ?

How are you uploading the files ? Client side - <INPUT TYPE=file ... ? What about server side what streams are you using ? How are youu parsing the input streams. How are you writing them out, as ASCII, or byte[] etc ?
