slow hard disk scsi ? ???

I have a Pii 266mhz , scsi adapter 2940U adaptec and seagate 4.3 Go barracuda 37371N .128 Mo ram
When i try Ncopy f: to f: a 37Mo file , it takes more than 3 minutes !!!!
Its eems very slow .
When I copy thru navigator w95 c: to f: a 37 Mo file it takes 43 seconds but still data in buffers and the buffers empty after 20 seconds .
Do not understand why , the disk seems to be fast if you see the specification ?
All set funtions are near Joe D startup.ncf and autoexec based on 64Mo server eisa !.

Who can help ?
 
Copying from F: to F: the pc copies the file from the server, to itself then back to F:

try doing an ncopy to move the data from f: to f:
