I have recently installed a new DNS server on NT 4.

Since then some users are having trouble accessing thier files stored on a network server.

It's only happened with 4 users, when they open a word or excel file it can take between 30sec's and 1min to open.

Any ideas, I havn't got a clue.

Note (I also have WINS and DHCP on the same server, I've ran this setup for a couple of years on an old server with no problems)

Try manualling adding the dns and wins settings to these pc's leaving the ip address as dhcp this has worked for me in the past.
Also taking these units of the domain uninstalling all the protocols and the nic then re installing also often cures this
