Hello

Setup: Exchange Server 2003, supporting OWA 2k3.

When using OWA 2k3 a user does not she her most recent emails as they come in, even after polling the Exchange server by refreshing the page. Note: its only happening with her. Mine works fine.

For eg: When she checks her email in the morning, say at 7:00 am, she does not see any emails for that hour. Then when she checks her Outlook Inbox at work at 8:00 am she sees a bunch of emails, with time stamps ranging from the previous day all the way to 8:00 am, including emails that came in @ around 7 and 7:30 am.

She eventually sees the emails in OWA but after atleast 2-3 hours.

Any ideas what could be causing the messages to show up so slow in OWA.

Thanks.

that's odd.
try use "send and receive" botton instead of refreshing the page. and try to test it internally with OWA at work.

Also, does she leave outlook on at work overnight and running some kind of rules to filter emails?

Have you checked the "Date and time formats" in OWA under "Options"? Verify everything looks correct there.

Bustamove: thanks for the response.

Tested OWA internally and it acts in the same way. She does have a few filters on in her Outlook though. Could those be causing the delay?

Also some legit (our own domains') emails end up in her Junk E-mail folfer in OWA!!?? Any ideas?

Zoeythecat: thanks for the response

The Date and time formats seems to be ok on OWA.

Korn,

I assume when you mention filters you are talking about outlook rules? Or are you talking about Junk Mail filters? These are 2 areas you can check. Outlook rules and misconfigured filters can cause these types of issues. Try turning off all rules and filters to see if this helps.

Also, what version of Internet Explorer is she using? Have you tried using a different explorer such as Mozilla? (I know this is not recommended, but sometimes Internet Explorer and OWA can be buggy). Try ruling out Internet Explorer if after turning off the rules and filters does not work.

To be honest this is one of those things where when you goto work on it, it 'magically' resolves itself!!!

Without changing any settings on her Outlook (nor her OWA), it now receives all emails without any latency!!!??? This sure is confusing! And I know for a fact that the user is not that Outlook/OWA savy to change/edit the filters and/or rules.

Anyways, if it happens again I know where to start looking. Thanks for your time.
